On FRIDAY!

The derby girls have been planning a girls weekend to Boracay for months now. I wasn’t planning on going…

Thomas made other plans. He has been working with friends for a few months now to get me on that trip. They told me Sunday at practice. I had NO IDEA. Total surprise!

We went back to Everland with friends. Well, me and a friend and 5 kids. And we survived.

Park birthday. Super windy but kids didnt care. Cupcakes and slides are all that matter when you’re 3.

Tonight is our monthly roller derby bout. Maybe I’ll make a derby post some day. For now I’ll just try to keep this little blog alive!

The card reader on my computer went kaput and now Im just so lazy when it comes to digging out a cord and plugging in my whole camera.

So much work.

Ok, an update. Thomo’s home! Yay! We made it through another season of the Upscale Resale consignment sale here in Korea.

We finally applied for tourist passports. Maybe we will get them back soon and actually make our China trip that we are planning.

Easter. We did Easter. Kid’s got buckets this year that I added their names and some Eastery designs that you cant see in the picture.

Thomo and I agreed that Easter was eh…and he could golf if I could derby. Wonderful agreement! But my bad…Layla was expecting fun. We ended up going over with some friends to do eggs and stuff.

I stuffed a ton of plastic eggs while kids dyed eggs with shaving cream and frosting dye.

I dont think Layla needed the stool.

Once eggs were colored we stuffed kids into a bedroom and ‘hid’ eggs in the house.

And GO!

Timmy stopped after finding a few eggs and sat down to tear through his chocolate and jelly beans.

And then he went CRAZY.

It was a lot of fun!

Today is day 1 of spring break! Hooray for a week of no packed lunches and early wake ups. Now to find something fun to do other than our taxes…

It’s cold and windy today. I still haven’t REALLY played with my new lens. Busy busy around here. Anyway, I thought I’d share a version of one of my fave ‘kids are in bed and I’m craving something sweet’ snack.

I may have posted before about the cottage cheese, cocoa, peanut butter, stevia mix. Yum!

I made another cottage cheese concoction last night. I had blackberries that I needed to eat but didn’t so much like these ones on their own.

So here it is: Cottage cheese, berries, 1 packet of stevia, small drop of vanilla. Mix it up, mash the berries, mix some more until it turns purple…because everything is better when it’s purple.

Well, not babies. Or people in general I guess.

But cottage cheese is definitely better purple.

YUM.

While looking at YouTube at my past videos I saw THIS one had 1,938 views! Holy moly. And one thumb down vote. Obviously not what someone wanted to see when they clicked on a video titled ‘Cars1′

The new lens is the Tokina 11-16 F2.8.

I wasn’t sure about buying a brand other than Nikon/Nikkor but the reviews seemed good enough. Its everything I wanted just without the name so I gave it a shot.

Im in love. I haven’t had a chance to play with it much today. I carried my camera around in my bag with me but didn’t pull it out as much as I would have liked to.

Oh, I’m trying out using bigger pictures in my posts. How does it look? It’s ok on this end. Any crazy overlapping or not-fitting for anyone else?

Today after L headed to school Timmy and I got ready for our busy day. First stop – picking up friends to go to our last day of bowling league.

What’s going on with my hair? Lets pretend it was windy.

I took zero bowling pictures. Loser. Then it was rush to eat and get Layla so we could all hit up the Dr for sports/preschool physicals.  Again,  no pictures. Timmy was a beast. The last thing on my mind (shocking!) was to pull out a camera.

I did promise him though that as soon as we left the clinic we would go find a swing. He saw some at the school while picking Layla up and went nuts. I had to get that boy a swing.

And of course once we go to the playground he was over the whole swing idea. There was a ring-a-round!

*hurl*

I’m itching to try for some decent landscapes. Tomorrow should actually be warmish! Maybe we will get outside again.

Today was his day and he knew it. When I was setting out the cupcakes he kept saying ‘It’s TIMMY’S Happy Birthday!’ ‘Timmy’s cupcakes!’

The theme of the day was Toy Story. He has been pretty big into the movies lately. At least until I started ordering/planing for a party. He was still excited to see it all though even if we don’t actually watch the movie 10 times a day anymore.

Very thankful for all of the printables that other’s have shared online!

Goodie bags were toy story Pez dispensers and Toy Story gummies.

Not much to report as far as the party itself went. They’re toddlers. They ran around crazy and played with toys. Very easily entertained!

Next, presents! Timmy’s favorite. After this last Christmas, Timmy knows exactly what presents are and when they are for him. He was really excited knowing that today he would have HIS Happy Birthday cupcakes and HIS presents. It was HIS day.
